We’ve known Chris Howard for a long time and before he wrote stories, he wrote songs, studied natural resource management, led wilderness adventure trips, and was frequently seen at burning man. He’s an adventurous person whose created a neo-futuristic adventure teens across the world are going to love this fall as Scholastic releases his first published title “Rootless”. The first in a series of three, Chris describes “ROOTLESS” – as a “psychedelic, futuristic Lord of the Rings”. Chris says “I’m a huge music-lover, and often think of characters/scenes/moods in musical terms. For example, a chase-sequence might tap into a Hendrix guitar solo, or a character’s voice might sound like Woody Guthrie in my head. Or I might close my eyes and picture a landscape as a Four Tet track. Things like that.” Check out this video trailer from Scholastic of the new story ROOTLESS, and check out ChrisHowardBooks.com that VOLTAGE designed to align with the release of his new title along with t-shirts and other graphics.
