Dennis Black, an avid angler and gifted fly designer and tier, founded Umpqua Feather Merchants in 1972. Black saw the need for better, more versatile fly suppliers and with the addition of more colorful, impressive patterns, the company flourished. After 40 years in business, Umpqua has established themselves as the leader in hand-tied fishing flies production.
WHY VOLTAGE?
The company’s branding and commerce was stuck in the 1970’s and needed a fresh new edge. Voltage was able to capture the art of fishing flies with a sportier set of logos and a robust e-commerce platform.
