On November 14, 2013 Attention Homes is joining with more than 60 community and business leaders to raise awareness of and build support for youth who are homeless. Sleep Out participants will be spending the night sleeping outside on the lawn between Attention Homes’ administrative office and theFirst United Methodist Church of Boulder, near 15th& Spruce in downtown Boulder.

By taking part in this event, participants will glimpse what life is like as a homeless youth by exposing themselves to weather elements and uncertainties that come from living on the streets. Unlike Attention Homes’ youth clients, however, event participants have the benefit of knowing the next morning they can return to safe and warm homes, their jobs and their families.

Participants are asked to each pledge to raise $1,000 from friends, family and colleagues through their own online fundraising page to support Attention Homes’ homeless and runaway youth services. The Sleep Out is expected to raise more than $60,000 for Attention Homes’ programming.
