Donating time to combat human trafficking

We take our Force for Good tagline seriously. That’s why we’re seriously proud to have contributed to our most recent charity effort.

We utilized our talents as a team to make a positive difference for the Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking.

The Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking (LCHT) informs the public about the movement to end human trafficking. Human trafficking is a severe form of exploitation, either labor or sex, through the use of force, fraud or coercion.

Human trafficking is not limited to one gender, age, ethnicity or location. LCHT has trained and educated over 25,000 community members. Policy changes resulted from three major research projects they were part of. LCHT provides the statewide 24/7 hotline to prevent human trafficking. They became a nonprofit in 2010 and are a force for change in the community.

As part of Voltage’s Force for Good initiative we donated 20 hours of our time to LCHT. Here’s what our team contributed to help combat human trafficking.

  • Updated their website to be more user and mobile friendly
  • Made their brand more cohesive and uniform
  • Improved SEO

These improvements will spread the message LCHT is sharing and reach more victims of human trafficking. There are many ways to get involved. You can donate, book a training, request a speaker, and become a hotline advocate yourself. Visit the Laboratory to Combat Human Traffickings website here to learn more about the movement and how you can be involved.
