Here’s the rundown on how things went:

The why: To say thanks to the outdoor industry packed with the clients we love.

The what: Our Force for Good Patch Up Shop at Outdoor Retailer gave away 190 Patches and 2,820 minutes of trail maintenance.

The how: You entered your email. We gave you a patch AND did trail maintenance.

The who: The VOLTAGE team.

The where: Heil Valley Ranch in Boulder County. You can watch the video montage below.

Our first time at the Outdoor Retail trade show was a huge success. And we have you to thank! We went to meet some of the brilliant minds in the outdoor industry, learn about social responsibility in fashion and outdoor apparel and spread the word about better sustainability practices.

We set up camp with the VOLTAGE Patch Up Shop. Our 27 custom patches gave us the opportunity to meet some interesting folks and further our Force for Good mission. We traded emails for patches AND tallied 15 minutes of trail maintenance services time for each email we collected. In the end, we collected just under 50 hours of service time (that’s almost 200 patches!) to give to Boulder Parks and Open Space.

Cut to July 31st. We woke up bright and early to head out to Heil Valley Ranch Trailhead. Our team pulled their force-for-good hats on and put their muscles to work breaking new trail and smashing some big rocks. Seriously. Just watch the video.

It wasn’t all hard work and sunburns, though. We actually had a lot of fun. Listen to what designer Stephen Fung-a-Fat had to say:

“Our group accomplished a lot in such a short time. It would have been so much work to do alone, but with everyone there we got A LOT done.”

From getting our sweat on to spending time with coworkers working towards a common goal, it was the perfect workday.

In the end, we gave 68 hours (we’re overachievers) of our time to help better our beautiful landscape, and it’s all thanks to you!
