SoDA Members Flock to San Diego from Across the Globe
Last week VOLTAGE CEO Eric Fowles and creative director Scott Hooten attended the prestigious digital society SoDA’s Global Member Meeting.
This past Friday VOLTAGE paired up with the Community Food Share for a day.
“Community Food Share is Boulder and Broomfield Counties’ food bank. We collect donated food from many sources, then sort, package, and distribute the food to agencies and needy individuals in the community,”
according to Community Food Bank’s website.
Community Food Share has a lot of work to be done as they rely on 2,000 volunteers per year that put in 30,000 hours. “We literally couldn’t do it without them!”, said a Community Food Share representative. Seeing a chance to give back to the community we love, VOLTAGE decided to take a day to lend our time and our huge muscles to help a good cause.
VOLTAGE visited the CFS warehouse and helped sort the incoming food donations and baked goods. This makes it easier for the organization to weigh out how much food was brought in and track what they can distribute to people in need. We also helped sweep and mop the facility to make sure it stays clean and organized.
Community Food Share was not only a great way for us to help the community by giving service but also helped build our relationship as a team as we worked together to be a force for good.
