adidas wanted a creative way to sell their new season of Originals apparel. These stylish adidas clothes target a young audience of hip 16-24 year olds who use the newest cell phones, crave innovation and shop for unique style.
What we did
After a brainstorming session, we developed a lookbook concept for adidas. You can see it here (that gold jacket!!). Taking inspiration from Instagram, our designers crafted pages that visually engage visitors as they scroll. Picture-perfect outfits show off the adidas Originals apparel on the page, which then becomes the canvas for shopping.
Large imagery lets visitors jump to a product at the moment of impulse. It works like this:
- Browse to find a product you like
- Click the hotspot to see a specific product
- Go to “Shop now” to view product details and purchase
Our developers brought the designs to life in record time and integrated our lookbook with adidas’ native platform. We optimized for mobile, but the page is just as sleek on desktop. VOLTAGE made quick adjustments throughout the project for on-the-fly customization. Agility is our style. 😎
Customer engagement saw a huge spike and results from our lookbook page look great. With excitement on both sides, adidas and VOLTAGE plan to expand the lookbook concept for other applications in the future. Campaign data showed a:
- 90% improvement in unit sales
- 67% click-through rate to other content from our lookbook
- 43% order rate from customers who engaged with lookbook content
Our custom design and development work finished on time. The image-focused and mobile-ready shopping experience is spot-on with what the target audience desires. We also have to hand it to adidas – how could you not add that beautiful gold windbreaker to your cart?!
