Babolat has come a long way since inventing natural gut tennis strings in 1875. Headquartered in France, their US base is our neighbor in Louisville, so when they wandered into our office one afternoon, everyone jumped at the chance to collaborate on their launch of a new pickleball range. The trick shot: Completing everything from shoot to social campaign in <7 days.
When the concept is "never boring," everything needs to support that story. We emphasized the yellow from the paddle edge in a big way, pairing it with distressed bold, black elements and adding sequence strips for energy. Hero images were carefully selected to convey the spirit of fun competition BPKL is all about.
We caught some dreamy afternoon light at the local courts (which tied into the brand color beautifully) and let the players own the court. Babolat wanted to capture the fun, relational aspect of pickleball, so we focused on shots with energy and team spirit. OPA!
Our film team hustled to splice together product-focused promo spots that showed each racket and shoe in their natural environment, not the studio. Join the RBELYON.
We capped off the campaign with social graphics that tie together campaign elements to get eyes on the exciting product drop.
