President/CTO

As President and Chief Technical Officer at VOLTAGE, Steven Cook oversees business operations, eCommerce strategy and technology. He has led the company from working in a small, windowless basement room to having 30 employees and multiple offices. He ensures that VOLTAGE stays true to its core pillars of inspiring, creating and being a Force For Good.

Steven’s background includes a decade of web development, software architecture, and technical and eCommerce consulting. He directly manages VOLTAGE’s technology team. He is the volunteer founder of the Colorado Laravel Meetup and actively teaches about web software through presentations, events and blogging.

Steven is a technology enthusiast, a lifelong learner and a go-getter. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University. He owns two patents and is an Eagle Scout.

Steven believes that creativity and technology together can produce extraordinary results, outpace the competition and effect lasting change. Outside of work, Steven volunteers regularly at church, with Boy Scouts of America and in the local community. Hobbies include reading self-help books, playing basketball and playing the pipe organ. His greatest joys are his wife and kids.
